Alt Bar Creative began with a simple question: How can video be used to genuinely connect people and communities?

Founder Leo Baralt started his career in Queens, New York, learning the craft hands-on while working and interning at film houses, ad agencies, creative boutiques, and production teams — including projects at St. John’s University. Those early years were focused on understanding not just how to create video, but how stories are shaped, communicated, and received.

 

As experience grew, so did perspective.

 

When the pandemic disrupted the industry, Leo returned to Texas and took the opportunity to rethink what video could offer businesses in a changing world. The focus shifted from simply producing content to creating work that felt purposeful, human, and useful — especially at a time when connection mattered more than ever.

 

In 2022, Alt Bar Creative was officially founded in Austin, Texas, with a clear intention:
to help businesses and organizations use video to communicate clearly, build trust, and create meaningful impact within their communities.
